How to Get to Tourist Sites in Jakarta by Train

Jakarta and its surrounding cities are home to many popular tourist destinations and attractions. The @CommuterLine system will let you travel quickly between sites and cities. With a map of the @CommuterLine in your hand and a list of your sightseeing destinations, you can travel wherever you want in Greater Jakarta.

Make a List

Make a list of the tourist sites that you want to visit and group them by cities or by train lines. Many of tourist destinations in Greater Jakarta are on the same line, but some destinations in the other cities might require to transit to other lines. You can always check the Greater Jakarta tourist destination in this website

Get A Map

Get the @CommuterLine map from this website. Identify the correct train lines and the closest stop for your destinations.

Beware if Need to change the lines

Take note of destinations that require you to change train lines in the transit station. These trips will take longer than those that will require only one train line.

Choose you starting point

Locate the @CommuterLine station closest to your starting point. Identify which trains leave and connect in this station and what direction the lines travel.

Create an itinerary

Create your own itinerary for your trip, based on the location of the attractions and also the train line

Purchase the card

Purchase a single trip card or a multi trip card. It is advisable for you to have the multi trip card. The cards can be purchased from a clerk at a station. Other electronic card from BCA, BNI, BRI, and Bank Mandiri can be used as @CommuterLine card and will consider as multi trip card.

Tips

The remaining balance your multi trip card cannot be lower than Rp. 7000. Your multi trip card can be top up at the station. While the electronic card issued by the banks such as BCA, BNI, BRI, and Bank Mandiri can only be top up at the bank or at the convenience store

The Taman Mini Indonesia Indah and Ragunan Zoo are popular tourist attractions that does not close to the @CommuterLine station.
