Sampek Engtay Performance by Teater Koma

The Ciok family that lived in Serang had a girl name Engtay. Through a variety of means, Engtay succed to convince her parents and eventually allowed to study in Batavia. Although She was forced to hide her identity and change her identity to a man. On the way, Engtay eventually met with Sampek, who also had the same intention, to have higher education.

In the dormitory, Engtay stayed at the same room with Sampek. No one ever knew that Engtay was a girl. Time flies and the love of Engtay to Sampek were growing. One day, Engtay unlock her secret identity to Sampek. Apparently Sampek also fell in love. But bad luck, the Loveof Sampek should hit the wall. Just as he was ready to love Engtay, Ciok family recalled Engtay to return home, her parents wanted Engtay to married Macun, the son of Captain Liong, a wealthy landlord in Rangkasbitung. Matchmaking has designed long ago by Ciok and Liong family. Sampek languish and die in wondering. His body was buried in the park. He did not give hope, Engtay frequently visit to his grave.

The legendary drama from Teater Koma, Sampek Engtay, often staged since its premiere 25 years ago, will be held again from March 13 to 23, 2013, at 20:00 pm in Jakarta Arts House. The weekdays ticket would be sold from Rp. 75.000 to Rp. 200.000 and the weekend ticket would be sold from Rp.100.000 to Rp.250.000
