Singing Toilet: A Charity Concert for Sinabung Eruption Victims

Jakarta Arts Council (DKJ) with Payung Teduh, Float, White Shoes and the Couples Company, Banda Neira, Bonita and the Hus Band, Dik dan Kandank Jurang Doank, Endah n Rhesa, Glenn Fredly, Sigmun dan Trax FM Jakarta, will hold a Jakarta’s first charity concert for victims of the eruption of Mount Sinabung. The concert is scheduled to be held at Graha Bhakti Budaya (GBB), Taman Ismail Marzuki, Sunday ( 2/2 ) starting from 18:00 to 22:00.

Mount Sinabung is located in Karo Highlands, North Sumatra erupted continuously since the first major eruption occurred in 2010. Agency for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation announced Sinabung upgrading of the level of “standby” to “Caution” as from 11 November 2013.

As of January 2014 it has recorded about 29,000 thousand people or about 9,000 families displaced by the eruption of Mount Sinabung. Refugees predicted to increase. Logistical requirements for disaster victims will increase, as well as sanitation facilities. Moreover, sanitation in Sinabung refugee camps woefully inadequate.

The Singing Toilet concert titled: Sanitary for Sinabung aims to encourage the public to donate some money to help the Sinabung refugees. Overall donations will be donated to make sanitation in the refugee camps.

Donation admission for Singing Toilet concert is Rp 100.000 and the audience is also invited to donate used clothes/baby diapers /pads.

From Tanah Abang: Go to Platform 3/5 and take the Yellow Line heading to Manggarai. Change your route and go to Platform 3/5 and take the Red Line or Blue Line heading to Jakarta Kota and stop at Cikini Station. Take a 13-minute walk to the northwest.

From Sudirman: Go to Platform 2 and take the Yellow Line heading to Manggarai. Change your route and go to Platform 3/5 and take the Red Line or Blue Line heading to Jakarta Kota and stop at Cikini Station. Take a 13-minute walk to the northwest.

From Juanda: Go to Platform 2 and take the Red Line or Blue Line heading to Manggarai and stop at Cikini Station, and then walk for 13 minutes to the northwest.

From Gondangdia: Go to Platform 2 and take the Red Line or Blue Line heading to Manggarai and stop at Cikini Station, and then take a 13-minute walk to the northwest.
