Kedutaan Besar Amerika Serikat or the Embassy of the United States of America is located at Jl.Medan Merdeka Selatan No 3 – 5, Jakarta Pusat/Central Jakarta. One part of its building was used as the office of the Indonesian delegation during the negotiations with the Dutch in 1945. The building was also used as the former office building of the State Bureau, a state agency under the Ministry of Public Works.

The U.S. Embassy is the only foreign embassy that is located in Merdeka Square Jakarta. It has a strategic location and close to Gambir Station. It is one of the foreign embassies that are most frequently visited by protesters.

From Tanah Abang go to platform 3 and take Yellow Line heading to Depok/Nambo/Bogor and stop at Manggarai and change to platform 3/5 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Jakarta Kota then stop at Gondangdia and take a 11 minutes walk to the North

From Sudirman go to platform 2 and take the Yellow Line heading to Depok/Nambo/Bogor and stop at Manggarai and change to platform 3/5 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Jakarta Kota then stop at Gondangdia and take a 11 minutes walk to the North
