In 2015, half the world’s population was expected to be able to access information through the use of information and communication technology facilities. It is necessary for the development process of the world towards the information society which emphasizes the well-being can be done more efficiently through the use of information and communication technology.
For that, a forum to gather is needed in order to collect a variety of ideas to identify problems and to formulate important ideas on the internet governance in Indonesia. The idea that emerged is expected to be used as an ingredient for the proper formulation of public policy in the future, to address digital divide issues in Indonesia and the achievement of the millennium development goals and the achievement of business governance and good governance (Good Corporate and Government Governance) in Indonesia. The material that will produced at this forum will also be presented at national forums and internationally including the Global Internet Governance Forum and the Internet Corporation for Names and Numbers assinged (ICANN).
In 1 November 2012, Indonesia internet stakeholders will express a declaration of the Indonesia Internet Governance Forum (IGF-ID) and will followed with one day seminar with the theme “Internet Governance for Good Corporate Governance and Government in Indonesia”.
This event is open to the public, but you are required to register first because the available seat is only for 250 participants. ID IGF will be held at Hotel Borobudur, Jl. Lapangan Banteng Selatan and will begins at 8.00 to 18.00
