Komisi Yudisial: Preserve and uphold the Honor, Dignity and Behavior of judges.


Komisi Yudisial or The Judicial Commission is a state agency that serves as an external oversight body for the judiciary to uphold the dignity of the judiciary. Judicial Commission is located at Jl. Kramat Raya No 57 Jakarta Pusat/Central Jakarta. Judicial Commission formed by the Third Amendment of the 1945 Constitution in 2001, as stated in Section 24 B. The spirit of the establishment of the Judicial Commission relies on its deep concern regarding the condition and worsening situation of justice and fairness in Indonesia. Judicial Commission therefore formed by two constitutive authority, which is to propose the appointment of supreme court judges and others authority are to preserve and uphold the honor, dignity and behavior of judges.

As a condition for operation of the Judicial Commission, in 2004 the government and the parliament established the Law No. 22 Year 2004 on the Judicial Commission on August 13, 2004. On 9 November 2001, the government and parliament enacted Law No. 18 Year 2011 on Amendment to Law No. 22 Year 2004 on the Judicial Commission
