If you visit the National Monument or Medan Merdeka Square, you will undoubtedly encounter the traditional two/four-wheeled horse drawn vehicle. Delman name itself comes from the name of its inventor; Charles Theodore Deeleman, an engineer in the Dutch East Indies era. The Dutch themselves call this vehicle as dos-à-dos and in the Betawi language became sado.
