@CommuterLine : Red Line will use the new e-ticketing system on March 2013


Finally, after we wait for so long, PT KCJ as Commuter Line operator decides to use the new e-ticketing system to replace Commet cards that were no longer valid. In March 2013, the electronic ticket for a single trip will be use for the Red Line. Tri Handoyo, President Director of PT KCJ, explained that the implementation of electronic ticket to all the Commuter Line station will come into force in May 2013 with a multi-trip models that can be reload.

To support the implementation of electronic ticketing, PT KAI and PT KCJ have been installing 307 electronic gate devices at 60 stations in Greater Jakarta. Eva Chairunnisa, Public Relation officer of PT KCJ, explaining that with electronic ticketing, it will facilitate the integration of all modes of transportation in Jakarta especially with TransJakarta. But until now, there has not been an intensive discussion between PT KCJ and BLU TransJakarta in relation with the implementation of the integration e- ticketing system for both parties.
