Jakarta to hold Java Jazz Festival 2013


The biggest Jazz Festival: the Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival 2013 will startat from  1 to 3  March 2013. Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival to be staged at  Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran Jakarta. This year tagline is “Jazz Up The World”. The tagline serves to illustrate the success of the festival which is nearing the period of a decade and is entirely produced by Indonesia’s own finest show business.

The Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival will show 16 stages for 50 shows per day. With more than 160 performers this year’s, Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival will feature special shows from three exceptional ladies,  Lisa Stansfield,  Joss Stone, and emerging superstar Basia. Jimmy Cliff, Marcus Millier, Stanley Clarke, Milles Smiles are also scheduled to perform at the 9th Edition of Java Jazz Festival 2013.

Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival is also the stage for Indonesia’s own finest talents. Combining legendary names in Indonesian Jazz scene and new emerging stars, this year’s Indonesian line up consists of: Indro Hardjodikoro The Fingers, The Groove, Indonesian Youth Generation, Dwiki Dharmawan, Abdul and The Coffee Tree Theory, Ade& Brothers, Chakra Khan, Ginda and The White Flowers, The Extra Large, Calvin Jeremy, Indra Lesmana, Glenn Fredly, Oddie Agam, Storia, Tulus, 57kustik, Tompi, Barry Likumahuwa Project, Andien, and many more.

Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival already transforming Jakarta into the Capital City of Jazz and also constantly promoting Indonesia through Jazz music. As the stages are being set up, and more artists are filling the line-up, bear in mind that Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival only comes once a year. So, be there!

How to get gere (see the route map)

From Juanda /Gondangdia /Cikini /go to platform 2 and take the Blue Line heading to Bekasi and stop at Jatinegara Station and go to platform 4/5 then take the Yellow Line heading to Depok/Bogor and stop Rajawali Station and take 18 minute walks to the south

From Tanah Abang go to platform 2 and take the Yellow Line heading to Jatinegara stop Rajawali Station and take 18 minute walks to the south

From Sudirman go to platform 2 and take the Yellow Line heading to Jatinegara stop Rajawali Station and take 18 minute walks to the south
