Peoples in Solo and its surrounding city call the Bacem Bridge as Kreteg Bacem. It is located on the southern city of Solo, Central Java. Below the bridge it flowing the Bengawan Solo river. In this bridge, there were massacre happened in 1965, people associated with the Indonesian Communists Party were brutally murdered and the bodies were dumped in to the river. Their family keep silent and never never talk about it because of fear.
After more than 40 years living in the silent, the victim families held an occasion called “Sadranan”, a traditional Javanese cultural activities, where on occasion the victim’s family can remember their relatives who have become victims in this bridge. They hope that Kreteg Bacem will become a monument and a collective memory to honor those that did not return.
Jembatan Bacem is documentary film directed by Yayan Wiludiharto and produced by Elsam and Pakorba Solo will tell the dark history of Indonesia, specially the history of those being murdered and their bodies dumped into the river. There will be a discussion and also public screening to be held at Friday, 26 April 2013 in GoetheHaus, Jl. Sam Ratulangi 9 -15, Jakarta from 18 – 21. The resources persons for discussion are Mr. Barjo. Mrs. Ratna, Yayan Wiludiharto, Dhandy Laksono, and Hilmar Farid
The public screening as well as with the discussion will be in Bahasa Indonesia

From Sudirman go to platform 2 and take the Yellow Line heading to Manggarai and change to platform 3 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Jakarta Kota then stop at Gondangdia Station and take a 7 minutes walk to the Southwest
