Sylviana Murni, Chief of the 486th Jakarta’s Anniversary Organizing Committee, said that around 35 events will enliven the Jakarta Anniversary celebration in 2013. Among them are the Jakarta International 10K, Jakarta Great Sale, Jakarnaval, Jakarta Fair (PRJ) and various sporting activities, art and other promotions.
All activities will begin on 2 June to 31 July 2013. While the initial celebration of Jakarta anniversary will be centered on 2 June 2013 in the Small Industries Area (PIK) Pulogadung, East Jakarta, and will be celebrated simultaneously among other in Ayodya Park in South Jakarta and West Jakarta Mayor Office for West Jakarta area
The official ceremony on the Jakarta anniversary will be held on June 22 at the Medan Merdeka Square. There will be Special Plenary Hearing at the Jakarta Parliament and dinner reception. Jakarta administration will also held an event called Jakarta Night Festival on 22 June to amuse the citizens of Jakarta with 8 entertainment stages along Jl. MH Thamrin to Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI)
The Jakarta anniversary logo inspired from the image of Jakarta that full diversity as a miniature of Indonesia. This logo is also firmly based on multicultural values, so hoped to foster appreciation, concern and love for art and culture of the nation, especially Betawi culture.
The Jakarta 486th Anniversary theme is “New Jakarta, Our Jakarta “. It has meaning to draw the image or the concept of citizenship in togetherness. “The theme also has a sense of passion for change and to organize a humanize city, with a bright and better future, its uniqueness while maintaining the diversity that grows and develops in Jakarta.
To celebrate the 485th Anniversary DKI, Jakarta government has several events such as: Fireworks Festival at the main stage Jakarta Fair (PRJ), Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Youth night event at Ecopark Ancol, North Jakarta, Entertainment stages at the Carnaval Beach Ancol, North Jakarta.
On friday 22 June 2013, The Ancol Dream Park or Taman Impian Jaya Ancol will apply a free ticket to the visitors coming into the Ancol from 06:00 to 18:00.
