Jakarta Government plans to buy five new Decker buses to attract more tourists and the bus will be designated only as tourist transportation. Jakarta Governor, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the Decker buses will be imported in upcoming October and will be placed in some tourist areas, such as Kota Tua, Ancol Taman Impian, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).

Jokowi alsos added that Jakartans do not have to go to London, Paris, or Singapore, to enjoy a double-decker bus. In addition, he also plans to operate tourist train but he is still looking for the right track since the train will be operated in the city. The train will be bought from Ambarawa and its carriage from Manila and Jakarta.
