Jakarta Government will change the concept of activity Jakarta Fair (locally known as Pekan Raya Jakarta) in 2014. The Jakarta Fair will be returned to the original location in the area of Medan Merdeka Square. Basuki T. Purnama, Vice Governor of Jakarta, said that Jakarta Fair is people’s party, so the government is decide to hold the Jakarta Fair at the Medan Merdeka Square in 2014

Therefore, next year Jakarta administration no longer gives a mandate to the PT Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) for the implementation of the Jakarta Fair. He said the implementation of the Jakarta Fair will be separated from the PT JIExpo to avoid the complaints that put bad image on Jakarta. Ahok also sait that PT JIExpo will be focused to hold national and international large-scale exhibitions

As for the Jakarta Fair 2013 still orgainzed by PT JIExpo in Kemayoran. This year, Jakarta Fair will be held from June 6 to July 7.
