Jembatan Kwitang and Nyai Dasima


Kampong Kwitang that located in Central Jakarta between Pasar Senen and Gondangdia become famous because of the story of Nyai Dasima (Mistress Dasima) which was happened in the Lieutenant Governor Raffles Administration era.

Dasima, a girl from Kampong Kuripan, Parung, Bogor became Meener Edward Willem mistress living in the Pejambon. If the Nyai Dasima wishes to take some sightseeing, she frequently called Samiun, a man from Kampong Kwitang, to ride on his car. Samiun, a coachman car, finally fell in love with Nyai Dasima and so did with Nyai Dasima. Samiun finally got married with Nyai Dasima

Unfortunately, the first wife of Samiun, named Hayati, was so jealous with Nyai Dasima. She hired a Kwitang master, Bang Puase, to kill Nyai Dasima. She was killed while she was being with Saimun while they wanted to go to Kampong Kwitang to watch Amir Hamzah

The crime scene of the murder of Nyai Dasima approximately was under the Kwitang Bridge (Jembatan Kwitang) near the Gunug Agung Bookstore and Marine Headquarter.

From Juanda go to platform 2 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Manggarai the stop at Gondangdia Station and take a 10 minutes walk to the northeast

From Cikini go to platform 1 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Jakarta Kota then stop at Gondangdia Station and take a 10 minutes walk to the northeast

From Tanah Abang go to platform 3/5 and take Yellow Line heading to Manggarai and change to platform 3 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Jakarta Kota then stop at Gondangdia Station and take a 10 minutes walk to the northeast

From Sudirman go to platform 2 and take the Yellow Line heading to Manggarai and change to platform 3 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Jakarta Kota then stop at Gondangdia Station and take a 10 minutes walk to the northeast
