@CommuterLine will not stop at Angke Station


Sukendar Mulya, Public Relations of PT KAI Daop I Jakarta, explained that PT Kereta Api Indonesia plans to reorganize local railway passenger flow and Commuter Line at a number of stations in Greater Jakarta. For the entire trip, Commuter Line will not stop at Angke Station since July 23, 2013. Angke station is planned by PT KAI to serve West Local Train railway passengers.

Meanwhile the loop line that serve route for Manggarai – Sudirman – Tanah Abang – Duri – Angke will turn into Manggarai – Sudirman – Tanah Abang – Duri – Kampung Bandan. PT KAI hopes that Commuter Line passengers will stop at the nearest station at Duri Station or Kampung Bandan.

While most passengers of Commuter Line are not well inform about termination of service of the Commuter Line at Angke station due to lack of information from PT Kereta Commuter Jabodetabek. Nurdin, Director of Angke Station, said that he was only received order to deactivation of Angke Station for Commuter Line passengers on Monday, July 22, 2013 at around 13:30. He did not know whether there was socialization for the termination of service for Commuter Line at Angke Station

Based on the information, the average numbers of Commuter Line passengers through Angke every day are 2,700 to 3,000 people.
