Taman Tebet Honda: A Park to Relax

Back in 1960, during the Soekarno administration, the government decided to relocate the residents of Senayan to a well planned residential area in Tebet, which was built with a park named Taman Tebet. Taman Tebet is located between Jalan Tebet Timur Raya and Jalan Tebet Barat Raya. Like any other park in Jakarta, Taman Tebet is also managed by the Jakarta government.

Taman Tebet approximately covers an area of around 1,800 meters. Taman Tebet consists of three parts separated by two roads, namely Jalan Tebet Barat 9 and Jalan Tebet Barat 10. Taman Tebet is a great place for jogging as jogging tracks are available in addition to an abundance of shady areas provided by thick and well-grown trees.Taman-Tebet

In July 2010, Jakarta government in cooperation with PT Honda Prospect Motor, decided to convert an abandoned area next to Taman Tebet into an extension named Taman Tebet Honda. The park covers an area of 2.6 hectares with more than a thousand trees.

PT Honda Prospect Motor contributed the financing of the park in order to further complement it with beautiful plants and trees. Enhancing the beauty of this gorgeous park is a small, yet sparkling river passing through the park. It also has a children’s playground, futsal field, jogging track, as well as modestly artistic bridges and reflexology paths.
