20 used train cars from Japan came Wednesday afternoon (4/12) and those were already in Tanjung Priok Jakarta. Eva Chairunnisa, spokesperson of PT KCJ said, this is the third phase of the arrival of dozen used train cars from Japan.
She said that the first phase of the 30 unit cars arrived on 4 November, while second phase of the 20 unit cars arrived on 16 November. The total procurement of the used train cars from Japan in 2013 were already 70 unit cars from 180 unit cars
Yet dozens of these trains cannot directly operate because of having to go through the certification process of the Ministry of Transportation.
Eva Chairunnisa added that dozens of used train cars is bought by PT KCJ to improve the company service to the Commuter Line users.
