April 2014: Tanah Abang Station to have Pedestrian Bridge


The plan for the construction of the pedestrian bridge which connects Tanah Abang Station and Tanah Abang Market Block G be realized. The bridge is estimated to cost Rp 30 billion and will be built in April 2014.

Yunaldi, Director of Central Jakarta Spatial, said with the construction of pedestrian bridge is expected the train passenger in Tanah Abang Station could pass the pedestrian bridge to go to Tanah Abang Market Block G and hopefully the market could have more visitors.

The agency will coordinate with PT KAI, since the PT KAI has most of the land. The pedestrian bridge is 355 meters long and with a width of 4 meters and constructed with concrete cement.
