PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) is operating the newly bought commuter line of 205 series with 10 cars imported from Japan last year. For the first stage, the 205 series is only operating at Red Line.
PT KCJ ensures that commuter line service for passengers in the 205 series will be improved. The train steward will be placed in the rear cabin. With two additional trains in the 205 series, it will increase train capacity to 400 passengers.
In the 205 series, two of 10 carriages have folded seats to maximize passenger capacity at peak hours.
