Initially Bank Indonesia office is located on a building which is now used as the Museum of Bank Indonesia. Currently, Bank Indonesia occupies the building that was built by architect F. Silaban in 1958-1962. The building is located on Jl. MH Thamrin No. 2 was built in Indonesian style. The whole side of the building is mounted with raster concrete that serves as a barrier to sunlight. On each side of the building is lined with cream-colored natural stone.
Now Bank Indonesia is serves as the central bank in which the independence of the bank is guaranteed by the law and free from Government intervention. Quite uneasy if you want to visit this building. A tights security procedure is implemented on this area.

From Sudirman go to platform 2 and take the Yellow Line heading to Depok/Nambo/Bogor and stop at Manggarai. Go to platform 3 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Jakarta Kota then stop at Gondangdia and take a 21 minutes walk to the West
