Ministry of Transport (MoT) is preparing a special railway mode (express) that connects Soekarno Hatta International Airport in Cengkareng and Halim Perdanakusumah Airport in East Jakarta.

The express train will serve the route along 33.68 kilometers (km). Express train project is scheduled to begin construction in 2015. This train route will have elevated railways and also the underground railways

Although more than 90% railways will be elevated railways and it is build on 6-7m above the ground, but the Ministry of Transportation is ensures that the noise level was minimal. So when the train is begin to operate in 2019, the airport express train did not disturb residents along the route.

In addition, the express train will have dedicated railways along the route. There will be no @CommuterLine or the freight train services operate on that line.
