World Tourism Day (World Tourism Day) set by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), is celebrated annually on 27 September. To commemorate World Tourism Day, the Jakarta administration will hold a Cultural Event “Gebyar Budaya” featuring various cultures from Sabang to Merauke in Medan Merdeka Park at 27 September 2014

Arie Budiman, Director of Tourism and Culture of the Jakarta Administration said this event is an effort of the Jakarta administration to make Jakarta as a center of cultural heritage, tourist destinations and the main culture in Indonesia. This momentum is important to be able to develop the tourism potential, especially considering Jakarta as a melting pot and a miniature of Indonesia.
