Cemara 6 Art Gallery – Museum: Balance Your Mind and Body with a Splash of Art


Established in 1993, the Cemara 6 Art Gallery Museum is initiated by Prof. Dr N. Heraty Toeti Roosseno. This gallery has a main showroom, a private library with a wide selection of books of philosophy and backyard for discussion, presentation of video art, performance art, poetry readings and other cultural activities. An open-air café and the romantic atmosphere of a guest house next to the gallery is a long standing trademark of Cemara 6 Art Gallery.

The presence of Cemara 6 Art Gallery Museum can be a place to stop for a moment amid the bustle of the city to balance the mind and body with a splash of art. This building also save its own historical stories such as the place became a meeting point in the 1998 era including the meeting for peaceful demonstration by Suara Ibu Peduli in the 1998.

From Cikini go to platform 1 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Jakarta Kota then stop at Gondangdia and take a 7 minutes walk to the Southwest

From Tanah Abang go to platform 3 and take Yellow Line heading to Depok/Nambo/Bogor and stop at Manggarai. Go to platform 3/5 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Jakarta Kota then stop at Gondangdia and take a 7 minutes walk to the Southwest

From Sudirman go to platform 2 and take the Yellow Line heading to Depok/Nambo/Bogor and stop at Manggarai. Go to platform 3/5 and take the Blue Line/Red Line heading to Jakarta Kota then stop at Gondangdia and take a 7 minutes walk to the Southwest
