Tanjung Priok station has not been used to serve @CommuterLine and also inter-city train passengers. At this time, PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (PT KCJ) plans to make the station as a tourist destination.
“Later, we would develop Tanjung Priok station for tourism,” said President Director of PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek, Tri Handoyo, in the company office, Juanda Station, Central Jakarta.
The station, which was built in 1877 and opened in 1914, had been closed for several times. In 2000, the station was no longer served the passengers .President SBY reopened the station in to serve inter-city trains, but closed again in November 2014.
The company plant to make the station back to alive as a tourist destination is still awaiting approval from the Ministry of Transportation.
Well, let us hope there will be Si Bon Bon train to serve tourist to Tanjung Priok Station
