PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) plans to open two routes for @CommuterLine on 1 April 2015. The new routes are are Citayam – Nambo and the existing Pink Line, Jakarta Kota – Tanjung Priok.
Prayitno, Director of Public Relations of PT KAI Bambang, the improvement of facilities and infrastructure for the two routes are already 90 percent. The improvement including the readiness of stations, railways, electric power, counters ticket sales service, and installation of electronic gates for outgoing and incoming passengers. He said that the Directorate of Railways Ministry of Transportation will conduct testing of facilities and infrastructure
In the early stages of the opening two routes, PT KCJ will operate up to two trains on each route. The company will see the people respond in both of these routes.
There are four stations along Jakarta Kota and Tanjung Priok, respectively Jakarta Kota Station, Kampung Bandan Station, Ancol Station, and Tanjung Priok Station. While the route Citayam-Nambo is about 12.6 kilometers. There are four stations that exist on this line, namely Citayam Station, Pondok Rajeg Station, Cibinong Station and Nambo Station.
PT KAI expected that with the reopening of the new route could provide an option for transportation
