Currently, the commuterline fares priced at Rp 2000 for the first 25 kilometers (km) and in 18 November initial fares will be rise to Rp 3000 and for every additional 10 km will be Rp. 1.500. This announcement was delivered by Mr. Ignasius Jonan, the Minister of Transportation in MNC Plaza, Jakarta, Thursday (10/15/2015).
Jonan said that the increase is due to government subsidies for the commuterline passenger has been exhausted. “According to the Ministry of Finance, government a subsidies of Rp. 1.5 trillion has been exhausted. Therefore, per 18 November seem KRL rates go up,” he added.
