Balai Sidang Jakarta: Exhibition Place at the Heart of Jakarta


Balai Sidang Jakarta or known as Jakarta Convention Center was established in 25 August 1992, and firstly used to accommodate 62 heads of state and their delegations for the 10th Non-Aligned Movement Summit in 1992. Balai Sidang Jakarta is located at Jl. Jend. Gatot Subroto, Jakarta Pusat, next to the magnificent Gelora Bung Karno.

Balai Sidang Jakarta is well known place for conference or exhibition. The building has a good interior decoration shows the Indonesian feel and local content in the wall or ceiling panel. Located in a very strategic location at central business district of Jakarta, no wonder if there are many exhibition held at this place throughout the year.

The center spans around 120,000 sqm and comprises a round theater-style hall (Plenary Hall) that can accommodate 5,000 people, two exhibition halls (Exhibition Hall A & B), an Assembly Hall, a banqueting hall (Cendrawasih Room), and equipped with spacious main lobby and atmospheric lower lobby, VIP rooms and lounges.

From Juanda / Gondangdia / Cikini go to Platform 2 and take the Red Line/Blue Line heading to Bekasi/Depok/Bogor and stop at Manggarai. Then, go to Platform 2/5 and take the Yellow Line heading to Angke/Jatinegara and stop at Tanah Abang. And then, go to Platform 5/6 and take the Green Line heading to Serpong/Parung Panjang/Maja/Rangkasbitung and stop at Palmerah. Take a 23-minute walk to the southern direction.

From Tanah Abang Go to Platform 5/6 and take the Green Line heading to Serpong/Parung Panjang/Maja/Rangkasbitung and stop at Palmerah. Take a 23-minute walk to the southern direction.

From Sudirman Go to Platform 1 and take the Yellow Line heading to Angke/Jatinegara and stop at Tanah Abang. And then, go to Platform 5/6 and take the Green Line heading to Serpong/Parung Panjang/Maja/Rangkasbitung and stop at Palmerah. Take a 23-minute walk to the southern direction.
